If you were expected a big name collaboration on Nicki Minaj‘s new album, you may go home disappointed.
In a tweet to her Twitter followers today (Aug. 5), Minaj noted that her upcoming record, The Pinkprint, does not have any featured artists among its credits, meaning that it’s going to rely solely on the star power of the rapper and whatever songs — new single “Anaconda” among them — warrant major attention.

“Like I’ve said many times, There are NO features on THE PINKPRINT as of now,” she tweeted. “Just enjoying this creative process.”
Of course, Minaj’s addition of “as of now” could be quite telling. The Pinkprint is currently sans a release date, despite multiple song releases from Minaj alongside “Anaconda,” including initial single “Pills N Potions.” If the recording process with the new record isn’t finished, an artist or two could find their way onto the final track list when it’s released before the end of the year.
Then there’s “Bang Bang,” the new single featuring Ariana Grande, Jessie J and Minaj that has all three artists billed as tops on the track. The song is planned to be featured on the new albums from the other two; no word on if “Bang Bang” will follow the same trajectory for Minaj and The Pinkprint.
The rapper’s last album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, was released in 2012. The album featured a number of guests, including Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Drake and Rick Ross.
The Pinkprint is due out by the end of the year.
